In this conversation with MSU Associate Dean Rich Spreng and his faculty, we go behind the scenes of BUS200, a new course for over 1,200 students built entirely with AI tools. As Rich says, “We created BUS200 to provide a foundation to students as they begin their academic careers while fostering a sense of community. But scaling that to 1,250 students every year was a real challenge. The answer was to introduce AI into our course design. Using tools like Breakout Learning, we’ve been able to create a scalable course that’s not only engaging but also helps students explore their interests and make informed decisions. It’s been incredible to see how this approach is changing the way we think about innovation in higher ed.”
