Assistant Professor of Marketing and Quantitative Methods, Peter Simonson of the University of South Alabama is finding ways to make AI an ally in his classroom with Breakout Learning. In this spotlight interview, Simonson emphasizes the importance of using AI in teaching to better prepare students for interacting with AI in their future work. Additionally, our new case study format increases engagement among his students and gives him a clearer understanding of how well students grasped the concepts of the case. As Simonson puts it, “I can't sit there and listen to 40 students individually for 30 minutes, discussing and seeing what they know.
