Student Financial Hardship Policy

At Breakout Learning, we believe access to high-quality learning shouldn't be limited by financial circumstances. Our Financial Hardship Policy offers eligible students a 75% discount on Breakout Learning course access.

1. Who qualifies

You may be eligible if you are currently enrolled as a student and can demonstrate financial need. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Receipt of need-based financial aid (e.g., Pell Grant, government student assistance, institutional need-based scholarships)
  • Documented household income below a threshold relevant to your country or region
  • Status as a refugee, asylum seeker, or displaced student
  • Other documented circumstances creating significant financial barriers to access

2. How to apply

  1. Complete the Financial Hardship Application Form below.
  2. Upload supporting documentation (see accepted documents).
  3. Submit. Our team will review your application and respond within 5–7 business days.

3. Accepted documentation (any one of the following)

  • Financial aid award letter from your institution
  • Government or institutional proof of need-based assistance
  • Tax return or income statement (you may redact sensitive details such as taxpayer ID numbers)
  • Letter from a school counselor, financial aid officer, or sponsoring organization confirming financial need
  • Refugee or asylum status documentation

4. What happens after you apply

If approved, you'll receive a discount code valid for one academic term that applies a 75% reduction at checkout. The discount is non-transferable and tied to the approved applicant.

5. Renewal

Discounts are issued per term. You're welcome to reapply when your current discount expires.

6. Privacy and questions

All documentation submitted is reviewed confidentially, used solely to assess eligibility, and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
