Breakout Learning, a cutting-edge educational technology company, is set to make big waves at the 85th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM 2025) in Copenhagen.

This prestigious annual conference stands as the leading global forum for academic collaboration and represents the most substantial assembly of management and organizational research experts worldwide. The event draws over 10,000 attendees from universities and institutions across the globe.

Throughout the July 25-27 conference, Breakout Learning executives and members of its Academic Advisory Board will be providing rolling demonstrations of the company’s AI-backed platform in Bella Center Hall C, Booth 311. Esteemed professors who have used Breakout to re-invigorate their own classrooms will also be at Booth 311 to share their experiences during instructor Q&A sessions.

On Saturday, July 26 at 10:00 AM, Dr. Olav Sorenson of UCLA Anderson will highlight Breakout’s platform as the latest innovation for teaching leadership. Sorenson, who serves as the Board Chair on Breakout’s Academic Advisory Board, will present during the session titled Teaching in the Age of AI. It will take place in Bella Center Hall C, C1.

Following Sorenson's session, Co-founder Steven Walters and Dr. Sheen Levine of Columbia University and UT Dallas will present Levine's results using Breakout's NextBook to elevate student engagement and critical thinking. This session, titled Next Generation AI Courseware for Active Learning at Scale, will take place in Bella Center Hall C, C4-M1 on Saturday, July 26 at 12:00 PM.

Breakout Learning will also be hosting a happy hour that is open to all attendees on Saturday, July 26 at 5:30 PM. The social networking event will take place at the AC Lounge Restaurant, which can be found on the ground floor of Bella Center's Tower 1.

“As AOM is the largest gathering of management and organization scholars in the world, there’s no better setting for us to illustrate how our discourse-focused learning format is more effective at engaging and educating students,” said Co-founder and CEO Ramit Varma. “We look forward to sharing with attendees why professors everywhere are ditching traditional courseware for multi-faceted experiences that are better suited for today’s students.”
